The advance purchase of tickets for the popular Scottish dance evening “Ceilidh” (pronounced “kei-li”) opened on 31 October 2024 at 10 a.m. In the Great Hall of the Langwasser Community Center, Glogauer Straße 50, on Friday, 10 January 2025 from 8 p.m. (admission from 7 p.m.), the “Original Caulbums Ceilidh Band” from Nuremberg’s twin city Glasgow will play Scottish dance music with bagpipes, accordion, violin, guitar and vocals, and together with dancer and choreographer Susanna Curtis and dance partner Marco Drey will introduce the simple step sequences of Scottish folk dances. Dance partners are not required because the dancing is done in groups.
