The Freundeskreis Nürnberg-Glasgow association was founded in December 2002

Our aims are to introduce Scottish life and culture to the people of Nuremberg. At the same time we would like to offer our Scottish friends the possibility to learn more about our Franconian ways.

Our aim

In our association, we aim to strengthen the relationship between Nuremberg and Glasgow as well as we can. We have therefore set the following goals:

  • Promotion of international communication and understanding in order to strengthen the partnership between the cities of Nuremberg and Glasgow
  • Promotion of common social, cultural, artistic, sporting and scientific activities
  • Strengthening cooperation between the two cities and their citizens, nurturing and encouraging interpersonal contacts. Integration of different population groups
  • Cooperation with social, public, political, private, cultural, ecclesiastical and scientific organisations, in order to jointly promote the aims of the association

Members

A club is only as strong as its members. As we are a non-profit club, we rely on "paying members", as well as volunteers. Everyone interested in the partnership between Nuremberg and Glasgow is always welcome to get in touch with us to share their ideas and suggestions.

  • The annual contribution: €24
  • For pupils, students, unemployed and seniors: €12
